Google Pixel 8 – Unlocked
Description
Introducing the Google Pixel 8: A Powerhouse of Innovation and Performance
Google Pixel 8 mobile was launched on 4th October 2023. The phone comes with a 120 Hz refresh rate 6.20-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels (FHD+). Google Pixel 8 is powered by a nona-core Google Tensor G3 processor. It comes with 8GB of RAM. The Google Pixel 8 runs Android 14 and is powered by a 4575mAh non-removable battery. The Google Pixel 8 supports wireless charging, as well as proprietary fast charging.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Google Pixel 8 on the rear packs a dual camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera, and a 12-megapixel camera. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It has a single front camera setup for selfies, featuring a 11-megapixel sensor.
Google Pixel 8 is based on Android 14 and packs 128GB, 256GB of inbuilt storage. The Google Pixel 8 measures 150.50 x 70.80 x 8.90mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 187.00 grams. It was launched in Obsidian, Hazel, and Rose colours. It features an IP68 rating for dust and water protection. It bears a glass body.
Connectivity options on the Google Pixel 8 include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, GPS, and USB Type-C with active 4G on both SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and in-display fingerprint sensor. The Google Pixel 8 supports face unlock.
The camera system has always been a centerpiece feature for Pixel phones, and the 8 series is no exception to the rule. While there’s no change in the main camera, which isn’t bad because the 50MP f/1.9, 1/1.31″ shooter takes excellent stills, the ultrawide snapper is new. It’s still 12MP and is not the 8 Pro’s ultrawide level, but it now supports autofocus, enabling sharper overall photos and macro-level photography. Additionally, the lens offers a wider field of view.
There’s also a modest uptick in battery capacity, now 4,575 mAh. The cell supports 27W of wired and 18W wireless charging, which is rather odd because that means a respectable upgrade in the wired charging and a small downgrade in the wireless. Last year, the Pixel 7 supported 20W wireless charging.
Last but not least, Google is stepping up its game when it comes to software support. Starting with the Pixel 8 series, Google is promising 7 years of OS and security updates. That’s more than any other smartphone maker right now, even Apple’s latest iOS 17 is only available to iPhones that are no more than 5-year-old.
While it all sounds good on paper, the devil is in the details, so keep reading to find out how the Pixel 8 fares against the competition in various scenarios and whether the 8 Pro is worth the extra bucks over the vanilla 8.
Note:?? This Phone is an international version model comes with a 13-month Seller warranty and is shipped in a Generic Brown Packaging Box with cable only.
